Job Applicant Privacy Notice
This Job Applicant Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) informs you how International Flavors & Fragrances (“IFF”) will collect, process and/or use personal data you submit through the Careers at IFF section of the IFF website (“Applicant Information”). If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, please see the EEA Supplement section below. Your other use of the IFF website is governed by any applicable terms of use and our Website Privacy Statement.
All Applicant Information you submit to IFF is collected by IFF in the United States and also in the jurisdiction where the job you are applying for is located.
Collection
Applicant Information includes any information you submit to IFF, such as:
– your contact information (for example your name, address, email address, and telephone number);
– information about your previous work experiences and what kind of work you would like to do (for example your cover letter, resume, CV, and school transcripts); and
– information about other people (for example names and contact information for references). It is your responsibility to obtain consent from other people before you provide their personal information to us.
How Applicant Information is Used
Applicant Information will be processed as part of the recruitment process to determine your suitability for positions for which you have applied or may be suitable for.
How Application Information is Disclosed
To the extent necessary in connection with the job you have applied for or for which IFF determines you may be suitable, IFF may share Applicant Information with affiliates and IFF personnel around the world. Applicant Information may be disclosed to third parties in furtherance of recruiting or hiring related purposes, including in connection with any legally permitted background checks and by service providers acting on IFF’s behalf in connection with resume reviews and job application processing; to communicate with you and inform you of career opportunities; and to comply with relevant laws or in connection with legal defense.
We and our affiliates and service providers process and store your personal data on servers around the world, including in the United States. Thus, your Applicant Information may be transferred to locations within and outside your home country, the European Economic Area or the United States.
We have implemented information security measures to help keep your Applicant Information secure.
Your Rights and Choices
You can choose which Applicant Information, if any, to submit to us. Submitting any Applicant Information is voluntary. If you choose not to submit Applicant Information, our ability to consider you as a candidate for a job may be limited. You can contact us to ask us to correct or archive/erase your personal data.

EEA Supplement
SCOPE OF NOTICE
International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (“IFF”) provides to residents of the European Economic Area this Supplemental Job Applicant Privacy Notice, which contains additional information for such residents to supplement the Job Applicant Privacy Notice.
Legal bases for processing
We process your personal data on several different legal bases, as follows:
1. Based on your consent.
2. Based on legitimate interests – we process personal data from you for security and safety; to detect and prevent fraud; to protect and defend the rights or property of others, or our own rights and interests; we consider your privacy interests in this regard and redact personal information to the largest extent practicable to avoid affecting your privacy rights.
3. Based on compliance with legal obligations – we may need to process your personal data to comply with relevant laws, regulatory requirements and to respond to lawful requests, court orders, and legal process.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You also have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority and a right to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you have a right to withdraw consent at any time. Submitting personal data in connection with a job application to us is voluntary, but without submitting personal data we may not be able to consider your job application.
PROCESSING AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
We and our affiliates and service providers process and store your personal data on servers in the United States, which has not received an unqualified adequacy decision. We provide adequate protection for data by having entered into data processing agreements and data transfer agreements that include standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. DATA RETENTION
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and other legitimate business purposes, in accordance with contract, and where required or allowed under law.
